Contributing to Gekko Images
This page details some of the most important things you need to know before submitting your images to Gekko Images. It also has links to other sections of the site which detail how to set up iView Media Pro as well as tips and tricks for good digital photography
Submission Check list
Use the following check list to ensure you have completed all the steps to submitting your images for sale on Gekko.
- Registered on Gekko Images and setup your log-in details
- Have good quality high resolution digital images catalogued with Aperture, Lightroom or Expression Media
- Have downloaded and run the Gekko integrated uploader for Aperture, Lightroom or Expression Media
- Carefully annotated your master images
- Uploaded your selected images using the Gekko uploader.
- Reviewed and approve your upload
- Start Now or watch some Video Tutorials
The six steps above is all that is required to have your images for sale on Gekko. Once you have registered images can be added to the site in as little as 5 minutes. Please note your first submission will take a little longer to approve as we will get in touch with your and check your files to make sure that everything is in order. We offer full support so if you get stuck just let us know nad we will help you through the entire process.

Gekko Image formats
Gekko images sells images in a number of sizes, resolutions and formats depending on client needs. These sizes ensure that we are providing images which cover all client image requirements from small 72dpi web images to large 300 dpi tiff files for optimum print reproduction.

Gekko Images have developed a unique system which enable high resolution images to be uploaded to the site over a standard broadband connection. Images are then made available to clients in a number of file resolutions and formats depending upon end use requirements. The following table details the size and format requirements for your image submission.

NB - These sizes may vary slightly depending upon camera / film format. If they do, just ensure that the longest dimension conforms or exceeds the larger of the pixel sizes. For example if you have a panoramic image just ensure that the longest dimension exceeds 5120 and forget the smaller dimension.
Submitting Your Photographs
There are 2 ways to submit your images to Gekko -
- Upload via broadband Internet connection, or;
