How To Submit Images to Gekko Images
This page details some of the most important things you need to know before submitting your images to Gekko Images. It also has links to other sections of the site which detail how to set up iView Media Pro as well as tips and tricks for good digital photography.
There are several ways to sumit images to Gekko Images:

If you have an existing image library, which you are interested in submitting to Gekko, and you do not use Expression Media or adobe lightroom, or Aperture please send an email to us at: sales@gekkoimages.com

We make submission easy. Simply register as a member, set up iView (with our help), annotate your images and upload them. Once uploaded they are approved. They are then ready for sale.
Submission Check list
Use the following check list to ensure you have completed all the steps to submitting your images for sale on Gekko.
- High quality high resolution digital images (300 ppi, 24bit, Adobe RGB(1998))
- Installed the Gekko features and functions into iView MediaPro or expression Media
- Carefully annotated your master image collection
- Registered on Gekko Images and received your log in details
- Uploaded your collection
- Reviewed and approved your uploaded images
The six steps above is all that is required to have your images for sale on Gekko. Once you have registered images can be added to the site in as little as 5 minutes.
Gekko Image formats
Gekko images sells images in a number of sizes, resolutions and formats depending on client needs. These sizes ensure that we are providing images which cover all client image requirements from small 72dpi web images to large 300 dpi tiff files for optimum print reproduction.
Images need to be:
- RGB not CMYK
- 300 ppi
- 8bit
- Adobe RGB (1998) colour profile

Gekko Images have developed a unique system which enable high resolution images to be uploaded to the site over a standard broadband connection. Images are then made available to clients in a number of file resolutions and formats depending upon end use requirements. The following table details the size and format requirements for your image submission.
All images submitted to Gekko Images must comply with the following:

NB - These sizes may vary slightly depending upon camera / film format. If they do, just ensure that the longest dimension conforms or exceeds the larger of the pixel sizes. For example if you have a panoramic image just ensure that the longest dimension exceeds 5120 and forget the smaller dimension.
